In Hindu rituals, Trees and Plants are profusly utilised. This is not a blind faith. These trees, Plants and flowers have an impact on the health particulary, the fragrance of the flowers improves the health. Tulasi leaves also improve the health.  Neem tree and dhatri tree are worshiped annually as these are very condusive to health. The Panchagavya i.e five products of th e cow viz., cow dung, cow urine, milk, curds and ghee are mixed and regularly used for the purification of the body in all important rituals. The five trees aswatha, Bilva ets, are considered very important in Ayurveda tradition. In the seminar organised on this subject scholarly papers are presented by distinguished Sanskrit scholars and Ayurveda Scholars, These papers are published in the volume
